Dearest Fellow Animal Lover!
Just a little bit about me… I am very happily married to my loving and supportive husband, Richard and we have 2 amazing sons, Dan and Zack. Friends, family and clients have described me as loving, loyal, determined, friendly, generous, and caring. I love people, making new friends, laughing, comedy and cooking. I love the ocean and if I could, my favorite vacation would be to go fishing and boating. I like listening to the rain at night and the frogs singing in the lake. I love a good thunderstorm and the rainbow that follows. I'm definitely a nature girl! I love animals and flowers of all kinds! I'm always up with the sun! I love my family and friends and baking yummy treats for them. I enjoy all kinds of music, the theatre, opera, and dancing. I love talented and creative people and am inspired by great art of all kinds and writing poetry.
So, how did I become a pet sitter? It all began when I was a young girl. I was born in Virginia but I grew up in Miami, Florida. Over the years, I have owned dogs, cats, fish, and bunnies. When I was six years old, I used to walk to the farm down the street from our house and the owner allowed me to gather the freshly laid eggs and taught me how to milk cows by hand. As a teenager, I learned how to care for horses. I bathed them, brushed them, cleaned their hooves, replaced their shoes, and saddled and bridled them up. Riding was one of my favorite things to do. Living in Maryland, I fell in love with all of the wild birds and became an avid bird watcher! I began my business, The Gopher Girl, and in addition to other services, was a pet sitter, walking dogs in the snow and ice. Dogs love to romp in the snow and eat it, too! When we moved here to Florida, I brought The Gopher Girl with me and at the height of my business; I had over 150 clients and worked from 6am-11pm every day for over 6 years, loving every minute of it! I took a short break to go back to college and finish my degree, and now I am back. I have tiny paw prints all over my heart, but there is always room for more! Please call me to care for your precious babies when you are not able to. I will love them and treat them just like they are my very own!
